Switching

Switching to Load It

Here is how a coach moves over, one step at a time: your programs first, then your clients, then the setup that makes the app yours. Your clients only hear from you when you're ready.

Step by step

Four steps, in this order.

  1. Bring your programs

In the Library, open Programs, tap + and choose Import. Paste a program straight out of a spreadsheet, or upload the files you already have: PDF, Excel, Word or CSV. Photos and screenshots of a printed plan work too.

    • Pick up to 20 files at once. They're read as one program, in the order you picked them.
    • If the app you use now exports a PDF for each workout, pick them all together. Sections, supersets, each set's reps and the notes come across, and each workout lands on the right day.
    • It understands the way coaches already write: week headings, a column per week, and notes like 5x5, @RPE 8 or 3x10/leg.
    • Nothing is made up. Anything it can't read is shown to you instead of guessed, and you check the whole program before it's saved.
  2. Bring your clients

On the Coaching tab, tap the add-client button and choose Upload your client list. Pick a CSV or Excel export from the app you use now, or your own spreadsheet. No file? Paste a list with one person on each line.

    • You see who it found, who is ready, who still needs an email and who is already yours. Untick anyone you don't want to bring.
    • Nobody gets an email until you say so. Choose I'll tell them first and everyone waits under Invited until you tap Send.
    • When you send, each person gets your welcome email, with your logo and colors, a Join button and their code.
    • Importing never makes accounts for people. Joining is always your client's own tap.
  3. Make it yours

Before anyone joins, set up what they'll see on their first day.

    • Your brand. Upload your logo and pick your color under You, then Your brand. Your clients see them in place of Load It's.
    • Check-in forms. Build your weekly check-in or intake questionnaire once in the Library, then assign it to anyone.
    • A Track for onboarding. Every coach starts with a Welcome to Load It track: a welcome note, a check-in from day 3 and two nudges. It stays off until you turn it on, so change it to match how you welcome people.
    • Their programs. Assign each client a program from the week you choose. Someone halfway through a block can start at the week they're on.
  4. Your clients join

Your clients tap the link in your email, or enter their code, and make an account with Apple, Google or an email and password. Their programs are on their Today screen, in your logo and colors.

    • Everything you assigned is already waiting for them, so there's nothing for them to type in.
    • An invite lasts 30 days from the email. If one runs out, tap Resend and it works again.
    • You can move a few clients first and the rest later. Nothing in Load It touches the app you use now.
During the beta

We'll move you over.

You don't have to do any of this alone. Send us your programs and your client list, in whatever form you have them, and we'll set them up in your Load It account for you. You check everything over before any client hears about it.

To ask, mention it in the "Tell me about your coaching" box when you request access. Already in the beta? Email support@loadit.io.

  • Programs: PDFs, spreadsheets, Word files or photos of a printed plan.
  • Clients: an export from the app you use now, or just a list of names and emails.
  • Nobody is invited until you've checked the list and said so.
  • No charge for any of it while Load It is in beta.
Questions

What coaches ask before switching.

Will my clients have to re-enter anything?

No. The programs, check-ins and anything else you assign are waiting for them when they join. They make an account and tap Join on your invite. If they want plate advice, they add what's in their gym, which takes a minute.

What happens to their history in the old app?

It stays in the old app. Load It brings over your programs and your client list, but it can't bring in workouts your clients logged somewhere else. If they want to keep that history, ask them to save or export it from the old app before you close your account there.

Can I keep using the app I have now for a while?

Yes. Load It doesn't connect to it or change anything in it, so you can move a few clients first, see how it goes, and bring the rest when you're ready.

What if the import gets something wrong?

You see the whole program before it's saved, and anything it couldn't read is shown to you instead of guessed. After that, every program opens in the program grid, where you can change anything.

Do my clients pay anything?

No. Your clients don't pay Load It anything.

Can I leave later if it isn't for me?

Yes. Anyone can download everything in their account from the You tab, under Your data, including your programs and workout history.

Bring one program and see how it goes.

Import a program you've already written and see it in the grid, ready to assign.
