- You can bring your whole client list over at once: upload a CSV or Excel file, or paste a list, check everyone, and nobody is emailed until you say so.
- Groups have a new Wins tab, where clients' finished workouts, new bests and streaks show up for the group to cheer, and each client chooses what is shared.
- Exercises in the library are getting their own demo videos, and a small still beside an exercise's name in a workout shows there's a video to tap.
- Seasonal looks now include Fall, Winter and New Year decorations, each with its own confetti when you finish a workout.
- On Apple Watch, tapping the reps and turning the Digital Crown now changes the reps.
Updates
What's new in Load It
The changes you'll notice in the app, newest first, a week at a time. Load It is in beta, so something changes most weeks.
- Nutrition coaching: for each client you can switch on a meal-by-meal breakdown, meal photos or a weekly nutrition check-in, from their Goals tab.
- Clients can send you a photo of each meal, and you can like it or reply in your chat.
- Resource collections let you put guides, videos, files and links into sections and share them with clients, all at once or one item a week.
- Clients can mark themselves sick, on vacation or busy, and workouts missed while they're away don't count against their streak or compliance.
- When a client is away, you can push their workouts back a week, skip those days, or leave the week as it is.
- When every workout in a program is done, you're asked whether to mark it complete, instead of it switching off by itself.
- Seasonal looks arrived, starting with Halloween: optional decorations around the edges of Today that each person can turn on or off.
- Screens across the app load noticeably faster.
- The Apple Watch app now shows your coach's colors.
- A gym's units are set on one screen, so plates, dumbbells and machines can each be in pounds or kilograms.
- On a client's Schedule tab, the ⋯ beside their programs lets you mark one complete or delete it without opening it.
- Cancelling a workout on the watch now discards the sets logged in it, so Today stops offering to resume it.
- There's an Apple Watch app: follow the whole workout on your wrist, log each set and see your rest, even with your phone in your bag.
- Heart rate from a watch workout shows on the workout summary, and a coach sees it once their client shares it.
- Program import can read several files at once, photos of a printed plan, and schedules laid out as weeks and days.
- Habits can remind clients at times they pick if they're behind, and everyone can choose which notifications buzz.
- A new best is celebrated the moment the set is logged.
- You can put a cover photo on a program, and it shows behind its workouts on your clients' Today.
- In the program builder you can duplicate a day, or start a new day as a copy of one you have.
- When you assign a program, someone joining partway through can start at the week of the program you choose.
- On a computer, the app now has a sidebar and spreads the program grid across the whole window.
- Tracks have a Flow view beside Calendar and List.
- Check-in answers are easier to read, with each question above its answer and ratings shown as bars.
- Before you invite someone, Preview the email shows exactly what they'll get, with your logo and colors.
- You can change the email on your account from the You tab, confirmed by a code sent to each address.
- Plates can be shown in holiday colors: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or the 4th of July.
- Clients can arrange their own Today screen, choosing which sections show and in what order.
- Every program a client is on now shows on one calendar, with a color for each program.
- Light or dark mode is now each person's own choice.
- You can print a workout, for a session in the gym with a client.
- Workout timers beep in the last three seconds and chime when rest is done, and you choose whether they play when your phone is on silent.
- Training load compares a client's week with their usual week, so a sudden jump stands out.
- Finishing a workout can earn a badge, and shows roughly how far the bar traveled.
- A new Calendar tab: set your hours and what you offer, and clients can book sessions with you inside those hours.
- Needs you on the Coaching tab shows who needs your attention, and every client has a private note only you can see.
- Write a warm-up once as a saved section, or save a whole day as a saved workout, and add it to any program.
- Can they load it? checks a program against each client's bar and plates before they get to the gym.
- Clients can rate how a workout felt and leave a word for you.
- Weekly review takes you through last week one client at a time.
- Run a challenge with a leaderboard for everyone on a Track.
- Form checks: slow a client's video down, step through it a frame at a time, draw on it and send it back with your notes.
- Auto progression: set a rule in the program grid and the weight goes up on its own, checked against what the client's bar and plates can make.
- Paste a program straight from a spreadsheet, and Load It reads it into the grid and asks about anything it couldn't work out.
- Clients can move a workout to another day, and you get a notification.
- Chat has voice messages, and you can edit a message you sent within the hour, before they reply.
- You and a client can share documents like intake forms and lab results, and they stay between the two of you.
- Anyone can download everything in their account, or their workout history as a spreadsheet.
